The U.K. Nash Hash 28/08 – 31/08/09. Organised by Edinburgh HHH, Details here. Porquerolles Weekend 18th - 20th September 2009 Brief details here. St Paul en Foret, the famous gastronomic Hash location, lived up to expectations with a delicious salmon or aubergine terrine as the starter followed by perfectly cooked veal or fresh and lightly grilled sole. The vegetable were lightly steamed anda al dente, the way hashers like them. The fresh fruit or chocolate pudding enabled the walkers to replace the calories burned up on the gruelling hash. The wine was served in bottles, posh or what? The trail was quite good too. A great walk through the forest, beside the lake, beneath the trees, hasher dancing in the breeze. There was a slight breakdown in the arrangements when the walkers had to wait for an unacceptable eight minutes before the key to the beer car arrived in Pedro's pocket. He made up for this omission by providing icy beer and chilled vin rose. At the Circle, pleasingly brief, we celebrated the birthdays of Cum Cum and Virgin Mouth. Contessa got a down down for talking about her sex life (further details and images available on www.contessashot.com). We welcomed visitors Ulf, Gunilla, Paul and Jane. Unbelievably some hashers forgot their mugs so Jingle Balls, Fairy Plunger, Farty Bum and Sneaky Bastard were forced to drink. Shepherds Bush, hairier than before, was thought to be a genetic throwback but he probably isn't. Cumalot got a down down for not providing a run report. Disgraceful, I'd never do that! Iron Lady, Farty Bum, Saddle Sniffer and Rubber Maid/Made were welcome returners. Despite better claims and more deserving cases, Sneaky Bastard was chosen as Shit of the Week but the less said about that the better! |
