For the walkers - Sneaky Bastard

In the footsteps of the Roman army the hash walk left La Turbie in warm sunshine heading up towards the coast. We enjoyed some spectacular scenery looking towards Italy and west to the islands off Cannes. We also had a view down onto Monaco and it was most impressive when the band of the palace guard struck up a tune to welcome us. A coincidence.....I don't think so! The walk continued into open country and became quite hilly before dropping back into La Turbie's ancient streets, each named after the Romans who hashed before.
The down down (only marred by a most unfair choice of shit of the week) was followed by an excellent lunch. Any legionnaire would have enjoyed it after a long hash up from Roma.

For the runners - Duck's Arse

Adequate turnout of the usual rough and ready sort of characters. Reasonable weather for the time of year. Runners set off directly for the Tete de Chien for superb views west to Cap Ferrat and beyond to Antibes, and east to Monaco, Menton and Bordighera. Jobsworth with good reason made sure everybody took it all in. Then after a small diversion in the wrong direction, the flour lead us through a bushy area back towards La Turbie. Passed through the village, expecting beer stop to be there but were then lead up hill to to find the beer car hiding in a small road with absolutely no view at all! But can't complain after all the superb views already. Paedo passed his time trespassing in the garden of an old house nearby, typical! Second half headed off into the forest where even the hare lost the trail for a while, but we soon reappeared (a bit scratched up) on top of a ridge with another great view. Then downhill, back through La Turbie and up to the car ark for the down downs. Down downs went to:

Jobsworth and Cumalot for haring.
Big End and Padre for returning from their multi-hash trip through South-East Asia.
Duck's Arse for preparing to head off to South-East Asia.
Too Cheeky for fun lumps hanging out and using thong as a cheese cutter.
Anne of Cleavage for wingeing.
Sneaky bastard for lying and having Cack all over his shorts.
Paedo for calling the hare a wanker.
Shit of the week to Prestressed for waiting for all the runs to be counted for the Christmas
Party and then not showing up!
